Warner Bros. Midway - Image 1The buyout of Warner Bros. of publisher Midway has been OK'd by a bankruptcy judge, making the US$ 33 million acquisition a sure go. The deal is expected to finally close within 10 days, this according to the reports by the Chicago Tribune.

Splatterhouse - Image 1Development on Namco Bandai's remake of Splatterhouse has been, to put it mildly, a bit bumpy. The original developer was pulled, but then we heard that they had to be asked for help in order to finish the game up. Development is reportedly continuing, but that doesn't mean we'll be seeing the game this year.

Karateka - Image 1We all know that Ubisoft and Jordan Mechner have been working on a new Prince of Persia video game for the PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. Well, apparently that's not the only thing Mechner's been busy with. At this year's San Diego Comic-con he revealed that he is currently working on a follow-up to Karateka. ImageMetrics Facial Animation to be used For UT3, GTA IV - Image 1In order to bring more life to games such as Top Spin 3, Unreal Tournament 3, Midnight Club Los Angeles and Grand Theft Auto IV, the respective game developers tapped ImageMetrics to craft the games' facial animation.
