It would be downright tragic if the last entry to the Metal Gear franchise was Metal Gear Solid Touch. Thankfully enough, Konami's posted a new job listing that says there's a new game in line for the series.

To many a gamer, the name David Hayter rings a bell. Most of us would know him as the voice behind Solid Snake in the MGS series. But he's also got his screenwriting career under his belt (X-Men, Watchmen). In this video interview, he reveals that Hollywood politics may have blasted his chances for penning the MGS movie, however, he's looking rather optimistic.

What's this? Metal Gear Solid 4 Legofied?!? Well, not exactly. I mean, yeah, it's Lego, but it's not really Solid Snake made out of those building blocks (we wish for a life-sized one, though). Instead, it's Snake's favorite weapon, the M1911 Operator Pistol. Yes, Legofied.

Sony might have fallen from it's perch up on high, but it hasn't been a fall from grace. The PS3 has enjoyed its best year yet, with a stable of solid releases, excellent exclusives and strong third party titles. We pick the best of the best.

So, what are David Hayter and the rest of the MGS voice cast doing after their stint with Konami? Oh, I don't know... maybe dealing with all the trauma they've been through as characters in the game? With an announcement of Prince of Persia going gold, Ubisoft is also bringing more good news: it looks like Altair's Assassin's Creed costume is being passed around and recycled like fruitcake presents from three Christmases ago.
