With the midweek PlayStation Store update brought about by the Electronic Entertainment Expo, this week's regular Store update isn't as big as the others. Doesn't matter though, this new batch has game demos like the one for Fight Night Round 4 (Xbox 360 and PS3), plus new downloadable game releases. No Guitar Hero here this time, but there are some for Rock Band: Unplugged. Update list coming right up.

The PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade launch of Sega's online-enabled downloadable version of Gunstar Heroes has been dated for a post-E3 appearance along with the XBLA-only Sega Vintage Collection 2. Details after the jump.

Sega's going digital with their classics - and in reworked high definition graphics too. Announcing a summer release, they're confirming previous rumors: Gunstar Heroes from the Genesis era will be making its way to PSN and XBLA. Aside from that, six other Sega classic will also be released throughout the summer as part of the Sega Vintage Collection 2, all of the which will be XBLA-exclusive. Aww...

From teeny-weeny cyclopic warriors to lean, mean clawing machine, there's a lot of goods for you to choose from over at the PlayStation Store. We've got the update for you here right, and off the bat, I think I'd go for the free demo of X-Men Origins: Wolverine, just in case you haven't checked it out yet.

E3's still a month away, but the hype's building up and game industry bigwigs are already starting to give gamers a quick taste of what to expect at E3. Today, it was Sega's turn to reveal some of the titles they'll be showing off at the expo via their Twitter account.

Six year old Christer from Norway was tired of his name, and since he was a big fan of Sonic, he wanted to be named after his favorite video game character. In fact, he wanted it so bad that he actually wrote to King Harald V asking for permission to have his name legally changed to "Sonic X." The King must've found the story so cute that he replied. Heads up, Marvel fans! Screaming Mimi is coming to Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 (DS, Wii, PS3, PSP, Xbox 360)! She's more popularly known as Melissa Gold, or the powerful Songbird. Now the artists of the MUA2 team talk about making the pretty screamstress look pretty in her Ultimate Alliance debut.

Mario games have always been popular in the UK, and Super Mario Galaxy proves it by beating out the likes of Fallout 3, Fable II, and even GTA IV for BAFTA's Best Game Award. The GAME Award this year goes to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, as voted on by gamers.

Pac-Man, everyone's favorite pill-popping ghostbuster, is turning 30 next year, and Namco Bandai is celebrating it by giving him a new game. The studio hopes the game will be Pac-Man's comeback, since he's on the verge of an early mid-life crisis.
