There's no denying that some of the most addictive games out there are MMOs. But if you find it frustrating that you can't have them on your beloved PS3 and Xbox 360, blame Sony and Microsoft. According to Star Trek Online captain Craig Zinkievich, the two publishers don't understand console MMOs, making it difficult to bring the games to their respective systems.

A date's been set for Bender/Helper Impact and Paramount Digital Entertainment's multiplatformer offering, Star Trek: D-A-C. Well, a month at least. Game features will include all-new content such as new ship classes, variable AI settings, and new game modes, plus stereoscopic 3D compatibility on PC.

Terminator: Salvation producer Dan Lin has rights over the next Tomb Raider movie, and from what he says, it's going to be a reboot. Oh don't act all surprised - we heard earlier that the new movie will be getting a fresh start. More details on this though: the way Lin describes it, Lara's new movie - an origins-type of movie - won't be full-on action but will go deeper into the character. Kinda like Dark Knight, perhaps? Well, what ever the case, you can definitely scratch Angelina Jolie from the role - they're looking for someone younger.

So J.J. Abrams' new Star Trek movie is hitting theaters this weekend (gods know if I can still reserve some tickets - frak it p'tahk!). And in light of the movie's release, we now have a debut trailer for the accompanying XBL/PSN game. This one's actually got some little footage from the movie alternating with some gameplay clips for Star Trek: D.A.C. too. Phasers, on!

Here's something for those from the old school. Paramount Studios has let it slip via John Kavanaugh, senior VP of interactive, that they are making DLC adaptations for Top Gun and Days of Thunder.

Unusual enough for a movie-based video game, Star Trek: D.A.C. won't be tying into the story of the upcoming Star Trek reboot flick. In fact, it doesn't even have a story. The game will be all top-down, multiplayer space battles. Sorta like a multiplayer Geometry Wars.

So JJ Abrams is making a Star Trek reboot, right? Well, it looks like the movie's also getting a video game tie-in called Star Trek DAC that's set for launch this May.

Cryptic Studios, the guys behind Champions Online and Star Trek Online, have confirmed that they are looking at developing games for the PlayStation 3. Hopefully they're also thinking of porting over some of their MMOs to the console.

Popcorn time! Whether you're looking for TV shows or movies, another big batch of them is going live on the PSN. I see a couple of gems in there.
