At the New York Comic-Con last year, Top Cow Productions teased gamers with the possibility that the follow-up to their shooter, The Darkness (PS3 and Xbox 360), is in the works. But we didn't hear anything from them regarding this for a while (15 long months to be exact), until this year's Comic-Con, that is.

Liking  the Chronicle of Riddick game much? If you answer yes, then you've got something else to look forward to. The same team from Starbreeze has confirmed that they are hard at work now on a new Bourne project under Electronic Arts.

Rumors of a new Syndicate game from Electronic Arts is true, according to sources close to GamesIndustry.biz. The project is given the working title Project Redlime, and will be released on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. EA has yet to give official confirmation.

Vin Diesel has made a reputation of being one of Hollywood's sickest action stars, with tough, bad-ass roles in movies such as The Fast and The Furious, the upcoming Fast and Furious, and of course, The Chronicles of Riddick. But did you know that this hardcore superstar was once a D&D geek? My respect for the guy just shot through the roof.

Vin Diesel's Tigon Studios has time and again emphasized that Starbreeze's The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena (PS3, Xbox 360, PC) is not a true sequel, calling it instead "an episodic expansion" of Butcher Bay. Game developer Starbreeze has detailed a few of the multiplayer game modes in Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena (PS3, Xbox 360, PC). Aside from the usual deathmatch mode (Dark Athena's allows for up to 12 players), the game also features a couple of interesting new gameplay modes, including one called Pitch Black. Because it's turning out to be a slow news day in the wild, wild world of video gaming, we're following up on a rumor - with another rumor.

You guys remember Syndicate? The cyberpunk game of yesteryear? An anonymous source popped up last week to say that a new Syndicate game was in the works. This week, another one chimed in to say that it is "definitely" in the works.

Anybody here remember Bullfrog's classic tactical game Syndicate? If you've ever played any of the games in the Syndicate franchise and loved it, then here's some good news for you.

 

We're sure this is one video game you don't want to miss: It's The Darkness from 2K Games and Starbreeze Studios. In case you haven't purchased The Darkness (PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360) yet or you live in Europe, here's another treat for you. We found a video of The Darkness powers players will be able to wield in the game.

We're warning you though, the video might contain spoilers. In the video, we see more heart-munching action, plus some creeping dark action with the Maw Tentacles. We also see how to wreak havoc with the Dark Tentacles-slash-Demon Arm which allow Jackie to throw cars around - yep, cars.

Mowing down enemies that transform into gibbering, shrieking demons gunning for you at full speed? And in a multiplayer game, at that? Sounds awesome. Starbreeze Studios and 2K Games' The Darkness is slated to come out in the U.S. today. The PS3 version of the game, however, will be available in Europe on July 20.
