The latest round of update for the US PlayStation Store is now available. This weeks lineup includes the usual game add-ons, a few price drops, three new game demos including the much awaited Ratchet And Clank Future: A Crack In Time, tons of downloadable PSP games and a pair of Oddworld PSone classics as well as some brand new downloadable games for the PS3 and PSP.

Ever since The Beatles: Rock Band (PS3, Xbox 360, Wii) made its psychedelic appearance on E3, it was announced that all proceeds earned from downloading the track "All You Need is Love" will go straight to Doctors Without Borders. Well there has certainly been a lot of love going around, with the track hitting the 100,000 mark on charitable downloads.

The NPD results are out for the month of September, and look at what we have here! A mighty and proud showing of PS3 sales finally taking over the spot beyond the Xbox 360 and the Wii -- for the first time ever. That's not to say that it topped all of the charts, though. A couple hundred thousands more till it successfully topples down the Nintendo DS from its # 1 spot.

The Beatles: Rock Band (PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii) has been a resounding success, so which band will Harmonix and MTV Games be shining the spotlight on in the next Rock Band game? It's all fog and haze at this point, but according to guitarist Brian May we can now add Queen to the pool of candidates.

While some bands and rock icons have expressed their disinterest towards music games, the legendary artists of U2 are eyeing the other side of the fence. Instead of turning their backs on what could be an insult to their artform, they've decided that they want to get a piece of what The Beatles did with Rock Band.

Harmonix has just released a patch for Rock Band 2's Xbox 360 version that adds support for wireless mics, background downloading, and an audition mode for Rock Band Network, among other things. A PS3 version of the patch is now undergoing the certification process and will be out ASAP. There's no word yet on a Wii patch, however. Hit the jump for the patch notes.

While Guitar Hero 5 is confronting Love problems, Harmonix' The Beatles: Rock Band (PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii) is getting overwhelmed with all the love they are getting from their fans, so much so that a shortage of stock is looking to be mighty inevitable.

For those who would much rather sing along to the music of The Beatles than go nuts on a plastic guitar, SingStar comes up with a fun alternative. A package will be available containing a regular copy of The Beatles: Rock Band (PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii) plus two wired SingStar mics for your retro-karaoke entertainment.
