We all know that Valve's Half-Life 2: Episode 2 kicked some serious booty last year, and it's still among today's favorites because of its superior gameplay. The only downside in this scenario is that fans are asking for more, and they've started looking at E3 2008 as the possible birthplace of the next episode. Players can finally treat themselves out for cake after Electronic Arts revealed the details of the recently released version 1.10 patch for the Sony PlayStation 3 version of The Orange Box. The changelog of the new patch reveals the updates made to take care of the various bugs, memory leaks and other problems plaguing the game when it was first released. Don't look now, but EA has stealthily dropped a 128MB patch for the European version of The Orange Box. The game's fans who are enjoying it on the Sony PlayStation 3 have been itching for fixes that will curb issues marring a very good release. When Valve put up a page dedicated to hearing out complaints from The Orange Box fans, they did so to find out what improvements the three games within needed. Electronic Arts boss John Riccitiello announced that the highly successful video game compilation The Orange Box will soon be split into its component parts and will each be sold as separate titles. Some of the more memorable games include Half-Life: Episode 2, Portal, and Team Fortress 2, with each title garnering its own set of accolades during the past year.

Now this is a triumph. A video of Portal's (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC) theme song, Still Alive, being sung by the Japanese synthesizer application Vocaloid has surfaced. It's not by Valve, but appropriate translation and a voice very similar to GLaDOS' make it sound very authentic. Check it out at the full article.

Rock Band and Guitar Hero 3 have been making news lately as they drive up digital sales for their in-game tracks. But why should distributors stop there?
