More updates on the upcoming Game Developers Conference this year 2008: 3D game engine developer Trinigy will be introducing their latest product, the Vision Engine 6.4. This new version will be featuring improved support for resource streaming and optimizations for the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions. Details in the full article.

German-based company Trinigy, one of the leading companies in the 3D game engine market, announced today a Tools & Middleware License Agreement for the PS3, Sony's recently-launched next-gen console.

Thanks to the agreement, Trinigy’s Vision Game Engine - which is already being used by well-known studios like Atari and Take 2 - will become available for PS3 game titles and can be licensed by companies from all over the world.

Game developers who use the Vision Engine will be able to quickly and efficiently set up their game titles on the PS3 while fully benefiting from the system’s powerful architecture. The game engine is powerful and flexible enough to be used for virtually any game genre, from first person shooters to strategy and role-playing titles.

Dag Frommhold, Managing Partner at Trinigy had this to say about the agreement: "We are proud to support PS3 as an approved middleware provider.
