Last week's batch may be a tough act to follow, but this week holds its own, bidding for your buck. The Call of Juarez prequel Bound in Blood (PS3, Xbox 360 and PC) is out now if you want a mean FPS. The Palazzo Medici is a Renaissance palace located in Florence, Italy. It's famous. It's also one of Ezio's playgrounds in Assassin's Creed 2, provided you pre-order either the PS3 or Xbox 360 version of the game.

This is a much, much better line-up for our On Shelves section this week. As in MUCH. One, the Transformers are finally rolling out (unfortch, Megan Fox won't be included in your game purchase). Two, Fight Night Round 4 is also stepping into the ring to knock you out with. Three, The Conduit is also set to make waves on your Wii, and so is the Resident Evil Archives. Bobby Kotick is all about the bottom line and he's made no bones about it. The Activision CEO has continually called for a PS3 price cut (which one would assume isn't because of a sense of altruism on Kotick's part), and since Sony isn't budging on that issue, he's starting to throw the full weight of Activision around. Promising "a bit more info on the story of Ray and Thomas McCall," Ubisoft whips out this video for Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood (PS3, Xbox 360 and PC) featuring none other than the McCall brothers. Since this one's a prequel, the info would let you enjoy the fact that you played the first one - that's only if you did. If you haven't, maybe playing the sequel might make you want to brush up on the first?

The next generation of videogame consoles may still be a long way off, but according to Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot, they're already getting ready to develop games for them. Even motion controls, although they'll be sticking to the traditional controller setup for most of their core licenses. More after the jump.

Ubisoft has finally set a date for Ezio's arrival in Europe. Assassin's Creed 2 will be released in Europe on November 20, three days after the game hits US retail stores. Eurogamer also reports that the game's Black Edition will be available in the UK through Play. More details after the jump.

Earlier we heard about Splinter Cell: Conviction (PC, Xbox 360) getting DLC, and now Ubisoft has confirmed that they're already planning downloadable content for Assassin's Creed 2 (PS3, Xbox 360, PC) as well.

There will be an ultimate assassin. This much you can expect from Ubisoft as a rep in E3 affirms that Assassin's Creed 2 (PS3, Xbox 360, PC) is but the second in an intended trilogy.
