Got a hankering for more Saints Row 2 (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360) details? Well, we've got some scans of EGM's first look special at Volition's follow-up to last year's hit Xbox 360 title. Here are a few details straight from the scans.

Although Saints Row 2 is set a few years after the events in the original, fans will find that not everything in Stillwater has changed. For one, the old headquarters in Saints Row is still there. "At the very center, there's this really familiar looking-church that's been cleaned up and preserved as a historical monument," says designer James Tsai.

The scans also dish out some details on the game's multiplayer modes. Co-op will reportedly let players drop in on a friend's game at any time. There will also be missions that require both a driver and a gunner, so friends playing in co-op will have to split duties.

There's also a mysterious new online multiplayer mode. "All of the elements of single-player are going to be a part of this online game," says producer Greg Donovan. "There will be missions. There will be activities. There will be diversions. We're not talking about deathmatch".

Anyway, it's scans time. Check 'em all out below.

Saints Row 2 - Image 1

THQ and Volition's Saints Row 2 is heading to Microsoft's Xbox 360 and Sony's PlayStation 3 next year. A lot of people thought it would take a bit longer to do a sequel for the original, but life is full of surprises and this bad boy just might decide to go head to head with the mighty Grand Theft Auto IV (PS3, Xbox 360).

An official teaser website has been launched by THQ but there are hardly any details in it. The most recent news was earlier posted in the form of new screenshots but much is still left to be desired.

Saints Row 2 looks to continue the open world action game franchise's successful run. If you like urban missions where you're free to do as you please, Saints Row 2 should be on your watch list. We'll post updates as they come to fill that craving for mayhem in everyone of us.

Saints Row 2 - Image 1

THQ announced that Saints Row 2 has been in development since May, and fortunately for fans of the original Saints Row, the game is coming along nicely. Screenshots of Volition's Saints Row 2 were recently released and we know a lot of you out there are raring to catch a peek.

For those of you who aren't familiar with the Saints Row series, it's best described as a sandbox title much like the Grand Theft Auto franchise. The urban jungle is your world here and you'll be given objectives that you have to accomplish if you want to progress story-wise. The manner and order in how you do the tasks are completely up to you.

The game is set for release on both the Sony PlayStation 3 and the Microsoft Xbox 360 game consoles. No exact date is given on when the touted worldwide release will be, but pundits say that it may very well veer close to Grand Theft Auto IV's spring debut.

And this concept art reminds you of who? - Image 1 Even though the target platform list for Blazing Lizard's new downloadable game is still vague, Pirates vs Ninjas Dodgeball is fast becoming a need-to-try game in this blogger's book.

The indie game developer created by a trio from THQ's Volition studios (Red Faction series, Saints Row, Descent: FreeSpace series) have released yet another set of screenshots, because they probably know we just can't get enough.

Don't hurt yourself trying to look close enough though, because we already checked; Blazing Lizard hasn't plastered any hints on the three additional character types. So all you'll see here are Samurais and Cutlasses, until Chuck Norris rolls his dice with a combat knife. Well, not that he would need one.

Now only if Blazing Lizards would get to making a successor to the Descent: FreeSpace series...
