Assassin's Creed - Image 1Ubisoft has been quite vocal about where they're taking the Assassin's Creed franchise. We know Assassin's Creed 2 (PS3, Xbox 360, PC) will have quite an ending, and it's no secret that the games are all part of a trilogy. That's the thing though - Yannis Mallat could be teasing that there might not be an ending to Desmond's story.

For instance, Far Cry and Prince of Persia have already gone Hollywood. This time, the publisher is eyeing two more franchises to hand over for movie directors to play with - Assassin's Creed, and Splinter Cell.

Hollywood and Games Summit - Image 1 


The 2007 Hollywood and Games Summit organizers have revealed that they will be adding a couple more names to their speakers' lineup, with TMNT CG movie writer and director Kevin Munroe, and Ubisoft Montreal CEO Yannis Mallat frontlining the newbies.

Apart from them, History Channel's history programming director Peggy Kiim will also be joining in on the fun. Also making an appearance at the Summit are flOw co-creator Kellee Santiago, Electronic Arts director of entertainment programming Brandon Barber, and more.

The Hollywood and Games Summit will be held at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel on June 26 and 27, 2007. Some of the the topics to be covered are the following: simultaneous creation of films and games; creating an attractive cross-platform property between film, TV, music, game, mobile and Internet; how Hollywood talent can be relevant in the interactive medium; conversations between indie film and indie games; and using game ending technology in the film production process.
