Australians are tired of getting the short end of the gaming stick. The
lack of an R18+ rating on the OFLC means
that games with mature or adult content can easily be refused
classification and subsequently banned. They're not taking that lying
down. In fact, gamers Down Under are planning to march and hold a rally
demanding the implementation of an R18+ rating. |

The European PlayStation Home is throwing a party, guess what, and you're all invited! *crowd cheers* And wherever there's a Halloween party, there's always someone getting tricked into coming with a costume while everyone stares awkwardly. Well, no, I'm totally kidding. You gotta come in with your avatar looking all Halloween-like, so you'll win a few prizes for yourself while pseudo-partying. Read up and find out how. |

Despite presenting problems for those who've already made the firmware upgrade, it seems that FW 3.0 has accomplished what it set out to do - boost sales for the PlayStation Store. One developer that benefited from this upgrade is Doublesix, which told GamesIndustry.biz that Burn Zombie Burn sales jumped 40% since the firmware's launch. |

To call this week "PS3 Week" is no exaggeration. The PS3 Slim, a US$
100 price cut across the board, a new firmware, another Home update --
they may not have all been surprises, but Sony had a lot of
announcements at GamesCom for the PlayStation faithful. devs didn't
fall behind, either. PS3 headliners such as Gran Turismo 5 and God of War III also got on the frontpage with some beefy updates this week, leaving us with a rather lengthy PS3 Weekend Warrior. |
